A Rich History & A Brighter Future
We are a church family that loves God, His Word, and the people of the world. We believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and seek to follow Him in every way. We care for each other and reach out to serve our community. We study the Bible, worship God through our praise and prayers, fellowship and laugh together, and serve the Lord both inside and outside the church.
Our current sanctuary was dedicated in 1860. The layout of the sitting reflects the early tradition of separating the men from the women inside the church. Many pastors have come and gone over the years, but God’s people have continued to meet here since that time. Today our sanctuary is filled with people from all walks of life, all ages, different backgrounds, and gifts.
One of the unique features of this congregation is its love of Bluegrass Gospel Music. On the last Sunday of each month we have a Bluegrass Gospel Night. Folks come from all around to enjoy the music and share their love of the old time songs. Sunday mornings our worship reflects this style as mandolins, guitars, and bass accompany the singing of the hymns.
We are the little church with the great big heart—a place to love and be loved.
